What Wiper Blades Can Possibly Do For You
A good and reliable wiper blade is imperative for driving safely these modern days. These days most wheeled vehicles have wiperblades fitted to them – including trains and aircraft. A basic idea for a wiperblade was the brainchild of an American investor by the name of J. H. Apjohn. Also in 1903, Mary Anderson came up with a modification of the blade by using a ‘swinging arm’ mechanism. For good visibility the screen is cleared with a combination of the spray of fluid and the wiperblade. The pump can be filled with wiper fluid or in warmer climates water can be used – although problems can occur at low temperatures with water freezing. As car manufacturing became more sophisticated they added wipers to headlights to ensure that they were kept clean. The development of technology has been rapid in recent years and we now have wiperblades with sensors that activate when it rains.
